The club has today been informed of Sean Fretwell decision to stand down from head of bailiff duties at our iconic Layer Pits venue. e.
Sean's long standing service at this venue should not be underestimated in the benefit that it has added to the club. Sean has ensured that venue has remained in the best possible condition as well as giving advice to countless anglers he has met on the bank. In addition he has raised thousands of pounds for local charities through the running of the annual carp charity matches. Sean from 2010 also spent a number of years serving on the CAPS committee.
Whilst our constitution only allows the honouring of Life Membership at our AGM the committee will be proposing that Sean becomes a Life Member which will go before the next AGM for formal ratification.
I am sure we all wish Sean well in his future angling endeavors and no doubt we will continue to see him on the bank.
